Treatment

The osteopath is best described as a 'body mechanic'.

Each person is individual; therefore upon your first visit we will spend some time talking about your presenting condition, medical history and about your lifestyle.

Then you will be assessed and may be asked to perform a series of simple movements, this will allow the osteopath to assess you problem fully. A diagnosis and treatment plan tailored to your needs will be explained before treatment commences.

Treatment consists of a variety of techniques which will be used appropriately to best affect your condition. Treatment may consist of:

Soft tissue massage
General joint mobilisation
Specific joint manipulation
Stretching and traction
Exercise
Ultrasound, Interferential and Laser therapy
IMS
Cranial Osteopathy

We are very proud of our osteopathic techniques, and encourage you to ask questions at anytime during your consultation if you are unsure or even just curious. Your input is very important to us.

We treat a variety of common conditions including changes to posture in pregnancy; babies with colic or sleeplessness, repetitive strain injury, postural problems caused by driving or work strain, the pain of arthritis and sports injuries.

Any initial questions you may have can be answered over the phone or by email. Please feel free to contact us any time during office hours. You can also leave an answer phone message after hours.
